Our 3 Favorite To Do Lists for a More Productive 2014

If you’re the kind of person who likes to use lists to get organised, it’s time to take things to the next level. Forget about endless, easily lost post-it notes covered in random tasks, stop worrying about clearing off every task on the office whiteboard, instead get started with one of our favourite to-do list apps which make life a whole lot easier.

Schedule everything, from arranging your business’s Direct Debit facility to picking up pasta on the way home and make sure you never lose track of another task ever again…

1. Todoist

In our humble opinion, this is the daddy of to-do list programmes. It’s compatible with almost every device under the sun which means you can read, update and sync the whole thing wherever you are and whatever you’re up to. It looks a lot like a standard email inbox too, which makes it brilliantly simple to use all of the great, clean-looking features including: list sharing, due dates, task categorization.

Cost: The whole app is free, but you can upgrade to a professional version with extra functionality for $29 per annum.

2. Carrot

If you’re in need of a little motivation to work through your scheduled tasks, Carrot (for iPhone and iPad) has your back. Or rather, Carrot will be there to make you feel bad about not doing what you’re supposed to. Billed as a to-do list with “personality” Carrot will berate you into getting everything done and reward you for doing well. Not bad for $1.99. It’s a little frivolous for professional use, but if you like your technology with a dash of fun, this is a very functional to-do list we’re sure you’ll enjoy.

3. AnyDo

Apple’s “Best App 2012” and Android’s “Intuitive Touch” winner in the same year, this is a sleek and simple to use to do list app which makes getting stuff done clean, clear, simple and satisfying. Plan out your day quickly and enjoyably each morning, sync across multiple devices for instant access, set reminders and hook up with your calendar – this easy to use list app is handy in the extreme – and it’s totally free too. Time to get organised.

How do you like to get organised? Will you be encouraging your team to make use of to-do list apps? Are these apps productivity boosters or time drains? Share your thoughts with our readers below.
