London & Zurich Compete at BFA Chairman’s Charity Day

As a company that works closely with franchises, London & Zurich was delighted to be involved in the bfa Chairman’s Charity Day on Thursday 13 September. The annual event is attended by members of the British Franchise Association (bfa), as well as any companies that actively support the UK franchise industry.

This year’s event raised over £7,000 for The Franchise Trust, which offers a route into franchising to anyone who would otherwise be held back for reasons of age, social circumstance, educational background, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability, or by their status as an ex-offender or someone who has performed military service.

Nicky Carter, who recently joined London & Zurich as sales executive, was thrown into the action this year, with her team competing against five others in activities including Human Table Football, Washing Machine Madness, Go Karting and Clay Laser Pigeon Shooting. And, after a gruelling yet enjoyable day, Nicky’s pink team emerged victorious!

It’s safe to say Nicky owes a lot to her fellow team members, who among them represented Chantry, D&T Chartered Accountants, Home Instead and EnviroVent.

“While it was obviously great to win, the real success of the day is the money that was raised for such a worthy cause,” says Nicky. “The work that the bfa does through the The Franchise Trust is transforming the lives of people who might struggle to find opportunities elsewhere. I’d like to thank the bfa and all of the event sponsors for inviting me along – here’s to an even more successful day next year!”
